Preschool Parent-Teacher Conferences

Having Fun on La casa Preschool Playground

As you know, parent-teacher conferences will be conducted on Thursday and/or Friday, January 30-31. Although they are technically optional, I strongly encourage you to attend these. Formal conferences afford both the teacher and parent the privacy and singularity that the classroom door at the hectic beginning or end of school precludes.

A conference is a remarkable opportunity to share a few moments of purposeful praise, guidance, love and mutual respect. Even though you may already anticipate the outcome and how your student is mastering the preschool curriculum, there is an intrinsic measure of satisfaction in listening to your child's teacher provide astute insight into your child's school persona. Listen as they accurately explain their assessment of your child's progress and never doubt their genuine affection and caring dedication or expertise and educational knowledge to assure it.

The kiddos are all doing well and are learning and growing each and every day. The "growth rate" may differ but they are all progressing! Remember, they are still a "work in progress". If there are areas of challenge that remain, keep in mind that this is a great place for them to work them out!  Stay positive and pat yourself on the back for being a good parent and teaching partner for your child. You made the right choice in sending them to La Casa Preschool to love! Let us tell you that in person!

From the book, "Parent on Purpose", by Amy Carney.......Simply strive to make life easier for someone else regularly. Too many times, as parents, we do all the giving without involving our kids in a discussion about how much we give, who we give to, and why we do it. Kids often don't have the opportunity to learn about what social causes are important to them because its not brought to their attention. Get the kids involved in the process.

Weekly Prayer.....Jesus, You so love a cheerful giver. I pray to always remember there is joy in bringing joy to others by my kind actions. Amen.
